CIVICS SUMMIT
Join us for the annual Civics Summit to hear everything you were never taught about government and economics. This year’s special emphasis is on the three significant 1913 policies: the income tax, direct election of senators, the Federal Reserve, and how they changed the century. Learn the fundamental principles of government and economics, and how they apply to these important public policies.
Who Should Attend:
Everyone. If we are to see any change in the direction of public policy and government, we need Americans of all generations and occupations to know good principles and take a stand.
Cost: $100 per participant

FORENSICS ACADEMY
Three days of forensics training and advice. Learn about basic argumentation or advanced competitive strategies; learn some techniques for starting your own club, or dealing with issues that come with already established clubs. You’ll hear from long-time coaches of Modesto Debate, Mike & Mary Winther, along with former debater and now coach Katie Herche.
Who Should Attend:
Coaches and parents. There will be two tracks: one “novice” track, and one “varsity” track. Aspiring coaches and new parents will learn all the basics in the novice track, while experienced coaches and parents can expand their knowledge and expertise by taking the varsity track.
