Local Book Clubs- Join the Conversation -
As part of the Institute’s mission to make the Biblical case for the proper role of government, IPS promotes and sells a number of time-tested books. These works encourage audiences to dig deeper into important theological, political, and economic concepts. While these books are worthwhile to read apart from a group setting, meeting with others makes it better.
There are many advantages that book clubs provide. To list a few, book clubs stir meaningful discussion, create social time and, perhaps most importantly, book clubs allow for accountability. The urgency of the deadline compels you to complete the reading. Whereas a lot of times, when reading independently, the “need to read books pile” keeps stacking up. This is part of the solution for tackling that problem as well as giving you the opportunity to get involved.
Change starts with education. Book clubs are an easy and fun way for you to change our society.
