Much ink has been spilt—and much debate has occurred—over the question of whether it is right for a Christian to go to war.  Today, as we celebrate Veterans Day and honor the memory of those soldiers who served our country during times of war, this presents a good time to reflect on that question.  Can a Christian, in good conscience before God, go to war? In Memory of Marshall Foster

We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2022, Dr. Marshall Foster, a dear friend of the Winthers and a member of the IPS Scholars Council, passed away. Theroux (1949-2022) was the founder of the Independent Institute, an academic non-profit, public policy, research and educational organization. The Independent Institute’s mission is to boldly advance peaceful, prosperous, and free societies grounded in a commitment to human worth and dignity. David Theroux and IPS Founder, Mike Winther, collaborated throughout the years to teach others. They had a mutual friendship and respect for each other.
